About Sofia

I know precisely how to bridge the gap between textbook rules and the natural language used in Russia today. My own journey as a bilingual student has given me a deep insight into effective language acquisition. I am passionate about sharing not just vocabulary and grammar, but also the cultural context that makes Russian so rich. My approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to spark your genuine interest and confidence in speaking.

About the lesson

My lessons are dynamic and immersive, designed to build your confidence in real conversation. As a fluent speaker currently immersed in university life in Russia, I blend structured grammar with practical, everyday language. My focus is on creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable practising and making progress. I typically recommend 60-minute sessions to ensure deep engagement, but I am flexible to suit your needs. Whether you are a complete beginner, refreshing your skills, or an advanced learner aiming for fluency, my goal is to make your journey to mastering Russian both effective and enjoyable.

Sofia helped me with 1st year uni maths in a foreign university (maths there is really hard).
I’m not native in English and many things I just didn’t understand, but she explained slowly and simple until my brain finally got it.
Many times I came after lab half dead and she still was patient with me.
Honestly, without Sofia I’m pretty sure I would fail that exam.
