About Julia
I am a Master's student at LSE studying international relations. I studied my first year of my Master's at Sciences Po in Paris and I have lived in French speaking countries for 2 years. I love speaking French and I have a great passion for teaching. My own proficiency level is C1. I have worked part-time as a private tutor in a variety of subjects during the past 10 years while I have been a student myself. I have taught French language to children in elementary school previously. Growing up in a bilingual home speaking Swedish and English I have a good understanding of language learning, which makes me a good teacher.

I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, in a bilingual home speaking Swedish and English and I have studied languages my entire life. In 2012 i moved to the US to study for a degree in International Relations. Since, I have lived in Sweden, France, Switzerland and now the UK. I am currently studying for my second Master's degree in International Relations at LSE.
If you are not currently studying French in school I base my classes on themes, and typically we will cover one theme over two classes. This will allow the student to work on a homework assignment related to the theme between lesson one and two. I place emphasis on vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking (common expressions, everyday language skills) as well as written comprehension and grammar.
If you are studying French in school I can follow the structure of your class and help you with homework assignments and practice vocabulary, speaking and pronunciation.
