About Robert
My experience tutoring was extremely rewarding, and I feel that teaching is one of the most vital ways we can give back to the world. There are limits to how the educational system can help individual students reach their learning goals, and I feel that one-on-one tutoring can help fill in crucial gaps by helping each specific student through whatever roadblocks they may be facing, or to teach them specific skills that might not be covered in-depth in a traditional classroom environment. Most of my educational and professional experience is with software development, and I have a passion for making video games and other software. If you have something you want to build but you aren't sure what skills you need to learn or how to develop them, I can help you along that path.

I tutored for four years at Dolan Academy in Redmond, WA, USA. I now live in the UK full time and can bring my experience working one-on-one, adjusting to each individual student's needs and learning style. A typical lesson will be one hour but I have a flexible schedule. I am happy to teach at all levels and ages, and will be open with you about my level of confidence and experience in the subject you are interested in. I consider it ideal to teach towards concrete goals: making a website, creating a game, etc., so I will discuss your learning goals with you in advance to determine what skills will be most useful for you to learn.
