About Nan
I first started tutoring my younger brother when he was struggling with math, he was in 3rd grade, but had the math skills of a 2nd grader. I was asked by my parents to help teach him over the summer, and that I did. Now he's excelling at his own grade level. This isn't only due to me, but also because he worked hard and was motivated to learn when I taught him.
Because of this experience, I want to try tutoring other kids and improve their lives too.
You should have no doubts about my educational qualifications, I'm a college graduate with a MS in Data Science and a BS in Statistics. I've graduated with honors in high school and when I entered college, I had enough college credits from high school to finish undergrad in two years if I didn't switch my major from Chemistry to Statistics midway through.
I'm doing this because I want some extracurricular experience for when I apply to MBA programs and tutoring seemed like something I was good at. So you don't have to pay me if you don't want to.

When I was in uni, I was terrible at learning through lectures. The only thing that helped me keep information was practice and repetition. Whenever I do homework problems, I like to find patterns and shortcuts to help easily remember information. It's a waste of time to do a problem in 5 steps if you can do it in 4. We will work through some problems, either given or provided, go in-depth on why the final answer is the final answer.
My lessons are for K-12, but I can help with some undergrad and grad level classes too.
