About Maria
I have thoroughly enjoyed working as a classroom teacher for ten years, but it is time for me to reach out to more than twenty some students a year. My background focused on Spanish Immersion teaching learners of ages 7-11. I taught all content areas including Math, Science, Health, Language Arts and Social Studies.
I love to work with young students and establish awesome relationships with them as they become fluent in Spanish!

Ready to learn Spanish and have fun doing it? I have been a very happy teacher for over ten years. I am a native of Madrid, Spain. I have a passion to teach all learners Spanish, but have taught Spanish Immersion Elementary courses for ten years, which makes it a big strength for me. Young learners are like sponges when it comes to second language acquisition. My students like that I am energetic, approachable, empathetic and that I love to incorporate games in most of my lessons! Learning is all about the students and not the teacher, so the students make the lessons flow, I just provide guidance, games and activities!
