About Vanessa
I have an interest in education, heritage , sport and sport history. I was a teacher for 10 years until entered the Museum and Heritage sector. I have managed a Museum academic and internship programme at a Post graduate level. I have experience in the conceptualization, implementation and facilitation of Museum and Heritage education programmes including seminars, conferences and workshops. I hold a Masters in Education focused on Adult Education an Teaching and a Post graduate Diploma in Sport, Development and Peace.

I employ Freirean principles of teaching where learners/students will enjoy learning from their own experiences and learn from their peers. I adopt a Constructivist learning approach in my teaching. This allows learners not only to construct knowledge for themselves , but that each learner constructs meaning individually and collectively.
