About Gigi
Hi! I’m Gigi Martin, a passionate language tutor with over five years of experience teaching both English and Spanish to students aged 10 to 65+. Having lived in Spain for over six years, I achieved native fluency and gained a deep appreciation for cultures and languages. I understand the challenges of language learning firsthand, and I make lessons enjoyable, relatable, and tailored to each student’s goals—whether they are social, academic, or professional.

Personalized Learning: I tailor lessons based on each student’s background, learning style, and language goals. I prioritize speaking throughout the lesson to solidify language confidence, pairing it with grammar, cultural knowledge, pronunciation, reading, and writing.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I was enrolled in bilingual education in my native California (USA), from Kindergarten through high school. I graduated as one of six students out of over a hundred, who earned their California Seal of Biliteracy, equivalent to an associate's degree in Spanish during high school. After graduation, I moved to Spain, where I took my Spanish from good to native fluency. I fully immersed myself in the Spanish language and culture, finding my partner, a true Madrileño. I was able to fully embrace the beauty and opportunities languages can offer. What felt like a chore during my younger years, has become the greatest gift of my life. In my 6 years abroad, I earned my undergraduate degree in Cultural Studies, a bilingual bachelor's program at Universidad Carlos III Madrid, and a master´s degree in International Development at one of Europe´s leading universities, IE University.

Gigi is the best teacher I have ever found. His classes are dynamic and fun, he has many tricks to help you learn the language in an easy way. She is a very intelligent girl, so in conversation classes we can discuss many different topics and thus learn new vocabulary. Since I have taught classes with them I feel more empowered speaking English!!Gigi really helped me improve my English. In just a few weeks, she prepared me for my Erasmus stay, and I have to say, it made life in the USA much easier for me. Beyond her friendly manner, she's also skilled at teaching cultural knowledge, which I found incredibly enriching.
