As an avid English and Maths A Level Student at school I studied both subjects, the latter with mechanics, and have a continued love for literacy. My contemporary studies as a Masters student has advanced both my ability to organise thoughts and idea's in a structured manner, and my grammatical and analytical skills.
-How to interpret texts and the kind of questions being asked
-Provoking idea's and helping the child learn how context may shape the literature
-Demonstrate how to organise these ideas thematically in order to write a coherent answer
-If necessary to the kind of work, teaching how to create a counter-argument that generates more insightful and analytical thought
I have had informal work with family friends with children explaining books such as 'How to Kill a Mockingbird' and working through rhetorical devices within poetry, specifically the AQA textbook 'Anthropology'
-Similarly, having four nieces and nephews between the age of 1 and 8 has helped me to communicate effectively with children and explain idea's and answer questions in a way that it is clear and understandable
