I teach by beginning with a question on the basics (or your level if you are past the basics) of the subject and walk you through how to do it step by step. Then allow you to attempt other questions around the same level giving assistance where necessary. Once comfortable I would move to harder questions, moving at your pace.
I am currently a Masters Maths student at the University of Nottingham. I have been privately tutoring for over 4 years, covering exam material from KS1 to A-Levels in both maths and physics and taught over 40 students with them all achieving or exceeding their target grades. Senior teachers often would ask me to tutor specific students who had exceptionally high targets or students who were far from targets.
A confident undergraduate Mathematician with mass experience in tutoring.

Employment History :
I tutored younger, less able and students in my year in Maths, Science and Economics throughout my school career which allows me to view problems from a different point of view for students of all abilities. Senior teachers often would ask me to tutor specific students who had exceptionally high targets or students who were far from targets.
I had work experience mainly under Alex Brown (Head of London & Industry at Barclays), I attended meetings with him gathering an understanding of what it is to work in the financial sector. I also had time working with financial modellers, treasurers, portfolio managers, investment bankers and interns to see how their roles differed from each other.
Interests & Achievements:
Playing for Eastern Performance Centre as well as playing both internationally and locally has made teamwork and communication key skills throughout my life. It has given me great personal skills due to me being captain and having to manage differing personalities.
Perfect! Still taking lessons with Jay for a level Maths. He is an amazing tutor. He breaks down a really difficult subject and explains it in a way that I really understand. He has shown me alternative methods for solving problems which has helped me at school and in exams. I had started hating this subject because I was falling behind but Jay has managed to turn it all around for me. Thanks so much Jay!
