About Emer
My name is Emer. I am 22 years old. I graduated university in 2025 with a Bachelors of Arts (1st Class Honors) in History and English Literature from Trinity College Dublin. I am currently enrolled in a year long Masters Program at the same institution, where I am continuing my study of History, with a particular focus on Irish History. I was a top student at both a Leaving Certificate and University level in both History and English as well as other subjects such as Geography, Biology, and Irish. I have a great passion for education and learning that I love to share and encourage in others.

My lessons are based on tried and tested lesson plans. They are personalized for each student based off the goals and interests shared in our initial consultation. I use both textbooks and past exam papers when needed but also seek to foster each individual student's passion and interest in the subjects that I teach. A typical lesson will be an hour long, however shorter or longer lessons can be negotiated and accommodated. I began teaching my peers as a secondary school student when I was recommended as an academic tutor for younger, junior cycle students. I have also worked many years (2020-2024) as a swim teacher and coach where I learned to plan lessons and cater them to individuals based on their needs. My lessons cover primary school, junior cycle, transition year, leaving certificate and university level students, of any ability and level.
