About Lauren
Hello!
My name is Lauren, and I'm a master's student of Geological Engineering at the University of Utah. I grew up in Tualatin, OR and moved to Salt Lake City, UT in 2022. I've gone through four rigorous years of collegiate courses with large course loads in a STEM discipline. I've also completed an undergraduate honors degree, including an honors thesis.
My other academic pursuits include writing in many forms, from technical lab reports to creative fiction pieces. I'm skilled in these areas and am committed to helping other students excel. In a world of rising AI and falling literacy, it's critical that students learn both hard and soft skills in their pursuit of academia.

My teaching method includes working with a student's current lesson plan from a course they're taking at their institution. Students may be in any level of schooling from 6th grade through 2nd year undergraduate students. I will help with homework, labs, lab reports, and study tactics for STEM and writing courses.
I specialize in geoscience and writing, but I'm also capable of math and physics tutoring. For math, I can help with anything from algebra to calculus 1/AP Calculus AB.
