My teaching method in general is to cover basic content first and then move into analysis and how to use the content knowledge in an exam including essay planning and practice questions. However, as I would be offering one-on-one tutoring I would give the opportunity to focus on specific areas the student is struggling in or that are holding them back in reaching higher grades.
I am a current postgraduate student at Newcastle university studying a Masters in Law and have an undergraduate degree in History and Politics. I am most confident tutoring History but can also help with Politics and Philosophy/Ethics, also with general GCSE/A-Level preparation (e.g. exam and revision techniques and writing tips).
I have not tutored professionally before but I have helped my younger brother with his GCSEs and have helped family friends in preparing for upcoming exams.
