About Javier
Hi, I’m Javier! I’m an electrical and automation engineer with a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. I use math every day to design and commission automated production lines, so I know not just how it works, but why it matters.

I believe math clicks when you understand why something works, not just how to follow the steps. I start every topic with the core idea, then show a worked example, then we solve similar problems together, and finally you try on your own while I guide you. I use a digital whiteboard so we can write and draw out each step in real time, and I connect concepts to real-world applications from engineering and everyday life. When you get stuck, I ask questions that help you find the next step yourself, so you build real problem-solving skills, not dependence.
A typical lesson
Check-in (5 min): We review homework or any questions from the week.
New concept or weak spot (20 min): I explain it clearly, with examples at your level.
Guided practice (25 min): We work through problems together, with me stepping back as you gain confidence.
Wrap-up (10 min): We summarize what we learned, and I assign short, targeted practice so progress continues between lessons.
