About Ruby
I have spent 11 years teaching mathematics, earning a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics and Computational Modelling. My experience spans mentoring beginners to advanced learners, helping students develop strong conceptual foundations and sophisticated problem-solving skills. I focus on combining theoretical understanding with practical exercises, interactive challenges, and real-world applications to make mathematics accessible, engaging, and intellectually stimulating.
My teaching philosophy emphasises clarity, patience, and individualised support. Lessons incorporate visual aids, stepwise problem-solving, interactive exercises, and contextual examples to cultivate independent thinking, curiosity, and self-confidence. I strive to create a positive, motivating environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and master concepts at their own pace.

Lesson plans are customised according to each student’s level. Beginners focus on arithmetic fluency, foundational algebra, geometric concepts, and basic problem-solving strategies. Intermediate learners tackle multi-step equations, functional analysis, probability distributions, and introductory calculus applications. Advanced learners explore complex proofs, optimisation problems, advanced modelling, and applied problem-solving. Personalised guidance, structured exercises, and continuous feedback ensure mastery, intellectual growth, and confidence at all levels.
