About Gideon
I am a Doctor of Engineering (DEng) in Electrical Engineering and an experienced university educator with several years of teaching Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Robotics and related technical subjects.
I am passionate about making Mathematics and Engineering easier to understand by breaking difficult concepts into simple, logical steps. Over the years, I have taught and supported students with different levels of ability, from those needing help with mathematical foundations to advanced university students working with engineering modelling and simulation.
My background includes Mathematics and Statistics, Engineering Mathematics, Control Systems, Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Electronics, MATLAB/Simulink, PLCs, Robotics and Machine Learning.
I am patient, approachable and committed to creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace.
Whether you are a Matric learner preparing for examinations, a first-year student struggling with Calculus or Engineering Mathematics, an engineering student needing support with MATLAB, Control Systems or other technical subjects, or final year students looking for support in your final year project, my goal is to help you build confidence, strengthen your understanding and become a more independent problem-solver.

My lessons are practical, structured and tailored to each learner’s level and individual needs. I teach both Matric Mathematics and university-level Mathematics and Engineering, explaining difficult concepts step by step using worked examples and guided problem-solving.
For school learners, I provide support in Matric Mathematics, algebra, functions, equations, trigonometry, analytical geometry, pre-calculus and introductory calculus, including preparation for tests and examinations.
For university and college students, I offer Engineering Mathematics, Calculus, MATLAB/Simulink, Control Systems, Power Systems, PLCs, Robotics and Electrical Engineering.
My approach focuses on understanding the underlying concepts rather than memorising solutions. Learners are encouraged to bring difficult topics, tutorial questions, past examination papers or simulation problems so that we can work through them together.
Lessons are delivered online and are suitable for high-school learners, university students and adult learners who want patient, structured and technically rigorous support.

I know Dr Gideon Ude Nnachi through his work as a dedicated Mathematics expert and tutor, and I have seen first‑hand how committed he is to helping students succeed. His teaching style is calm, clear, and highly structured, which makes mathematics at all levels feel more approachable and less intimidating for learners.
What stands out most about Dr Nnachi is the way he builds confidence. He listens carefully, explains concepts step by step, and ensures that students truly understand the material before moving forward. This supportive approach helps learners overcome fear, develop stronger problem‑solving skills, and believe in their own abilities.
One experience that stands out is watching how he transforms a student who initially felt overwhelmed by mathematics into someone who engages with the subject confidently and independently. His patience, professionalism, and deep subject mastery make a noticeable difference in every learner he works with.
I strongly recommend Dr Gideon Ude Nnachi to any student looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and confidence‑building Mathematics tutor.

My standard rate is R250 per hour for online lessons. This covers Matric Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and general university Mathematics support.
For specialised university-level subjects such as MATLAB/Simulink, Control Systems, Power Systems, PLCs, Robotics and Electrical Engineering, rates may vary depending on the level and preparation required.
Discounted lesson packages are available for students who require regular weekly support or examination preparation.
The first lesson is free and is used to understand the learner’s needs, current level and learning goals, and to develop an appropriate study plan.
