About Stephanie
I will be graduating with a BS in Mathematics from New Mexico State University in May 2019. I will also be completing an Associate's degree in Education in 2019. I've been a tutor at my local community college for five years. I tutor adult and young adult students in basic math, algebra, college algebra, and some calculus. I regularly have students return to me and say they couldn't have passed their exams without my help.

I regularly tutor other undergraduate adult students like myself in arithmetic, algebra, and college algebra. I follow the "I do, we do, you do" model when tutoring. I like to ask students what they already know and where they would begin certain problems. I encourage students to write what they know and draw pictures or models for their work. If a student makes a mistake, I like to ask why they did what they did, whether their answer makes sense to them, or if they notice anything they should do differently.
