About Ahab
I am a Wandsworth based Mathematics Teacher, working currently in Chelsea.
I believe myself to be an excellent teacher and tutor. But apart from my own academic knowledge and teaching ability I have something that many tutors may not have. I have experience in failure. I have experience of having struggled, failed and then succeeded.
Most who decide to teach have not had experience with academic "failure", I do. This I believe has made me much better at my job as I am much better able to relate to students that struggle academically and have a lot of insight into how to succeed through hard work rather than through any "natural ability".
This means that I do not subscribe to the idea of natural ability in Mathematics being the biggest factor in a student succeeding in meeting whatever target they choose. It is hard work, every single time.
