About Zaya
My love for mathematics stems from a fascination with patterns, logical structures, and problem-solving. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, providing strong theoretical and practical expertise. Over 11 years, I have guided students of all levels, from foundational learners to advanced scholars, helping them cultivate clarity, skill, and confidence in their mathematical abilities.
I emphasise structured, patient, and interactive teaching that encourages curiosity, independent reasoning, and conceptual understanding. Lessons are designed to foster both skill acquisition and confidence, helping students develop mastery of topics in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
Outside the classroom, I engage with mathematical research, applied problem-solving, and educational innovations to keep my lessons current and relevant. Witnessing students progress from hesitation to confidence, tackling challenging problems independently, is immensely rewarding. Supporting learners in developing both analytical thinking and problem-solving resilience remains the most fulfilling aspect of my teaching journey.

Mathematics lessons focus on developing a deep understanding of concepts, logical reasoning, and practical problem-solving abilities. I cover algebra, geometry, calculus, probability, statistics, and applied mathematics, emphasising clarity, structured thinking, and real-world applications. Lessons integrate step-by-step explanations, visualisations, and interactive exercises to help students grasp abstract concepts and confidently apply them to complex problems.
I structure lessons to suit each student’s proficiency. Beginners focus on foundational skills, arithmetic, and intuitive problem-solving techniques. Intermediate learners work on multi-step problems, proofs, and applied examples, while advanced learners engage with higher-level calculus, combinatorics, and abstract reasoning. Each session combines guided practice, analytical thinking exercises, and iterative feedback to ensure mastery and confidence.
Mathematics lessons also foster analytical thinking, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving. Students develop the ability to approach challenges methodically, communicate reasoning effectively, and apply concepts to academic or real-world situations. My goal is to create an encouraging and structured environment where learners develop competence, resilience, and confidence in mathematics.
