About Bethany
Hello, I'm Beth and I'm currently in my second year at university studying Mathematics with Education at Sheffield Hallam. During this time I am training to become a fully qualified Maths teacher.
Before I attended university I worked as a full-time Maths tutor/learning mentor for two years in a secondary school in Whitby. During this time I also tutored out of school. I thoroughly enjoy helping students work to achieve their goals and watching them progress.
I'm patient, kind and happy to work with any kind of Maths ability. Tutoring sessions are individually designed depending on the students needs. I will plan them from university/home and discuss with each student/parent what they feel is needed that will benefit them the most.
I'm a very approachable person so please feel free to get in touch if you feel I could be of any help.

Beth helped me understand maths better than any of my teachers in school could. She explained everything in a way that I understood and made me enjoy the subject again.
I was predicted a grade 3 by my teachers as a final grade but through Beth's support, I was able to earn a grade 4, which was what I needed to get into sixth form.Beth Sanderson has been a great tutor over the last year. I was struggling in school and thought I would not be able to get a 5 in my GCSE's as I needed this for my future plans to get on my course. By the end of the year we had managed to get myself prepared for the exam, working through all of the basics and my main worries until I achieved the grade that I wanted.
