About Alex
I am currently a graduate student in mathematics at the University of Chicago, where I also completed my undergraduate coursework. I began my journey as a tutor in high school, and have enjoyed helping a large and diverse collection of students through my studies - I love seeing students transition from struggling with material to gaining a truly deep understanding!

I've been teaching for over 6 years now, and love to help enthusiastic students learn their area of study deeply. My teaching philosophy is centered around first fostering confidence in one's ability to learn, and then developing the skillset to become truly proficient. I am happy to provide lessons for general math, physics, and economics from middle school to undergraduates, as well as specialized areas for graduate mathematics or simply those wanting to learn more: these areas include analysis and geometry/topology.
