About Mimi
I am a first year maths student at Newcastle University and I have taught year 6 maths to talented children as well as tutored for both GCSEs and A levels before. I received the top grades in both my maths and additional maths GCSEs and received an A in my maths A level and a high B in my further maths.

My teaching method is to go slow and make sure I cover everything the student is struggling with. I use practice papers and questions to work out strong and weak parts in their abilities. Then focus on the weak as well as covering the strong. Using questions again to determine whether they have improved as I find this a good way to measure if they have grasped what I teach. I also like to focus on how to get your head around the question as a lot of children can do the maths but struggle with how to approach it and get frustrated when they get it wrong without realising that you learn from your mistakes.
