About Uduak
Hello ! I'm Uddy, a maths tutor with a background in Computer Science from the Department of Mathematics & Statistics / Computer Science. I've taught in the classroom and privately, one-on-one, for 6 years, and I now work exclusively online, teaching children and young learners from preschool age through early secondary school.
Watching a student go from anxious and stuck to genuinely enjoying a problem is, honestly, the best part of my week, and it's why I've stayed in this work.
I take tutoring seriously as a profession, not a side project. I show up prepared for every lesson, communicate clearly with parents about progress, and treat each student's time and yours with respect. You can expect punctuality, patience, and honest updates on how your child is actually doing, not vague reassurance.
Outside maths and tutoring, I'm someone who loves a good mystery - detective films especially - along with cooking, writing, and exploring new places when I get the chance. I think that same instinct for noticing details and piecing things together is exactly what makes maths enjoyable to me, and it's part of what I try to pass on to my students.
If you're looking for a tutor your child can trust and enjoy learning from, then let's get started. Book your free first lesson with me today.

I hold a degree in Computer Science from the Department of Mathematics & Statistics / Computer Science, and I've spent 6 years teaching maths both in the classroom and one-on-one. I now tutor children and young learners online, from their very first encounter with numbers through to early secondary maths (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics). I work with families around the world and fit lessons to your time zone.
Most children who struggle with maths aren't struggling with numbers; they're struggling with feeling behind. My approach starts there. Before I teach a single method, I find out what a student already understands and where their confidence quietly broke down. That's usually the real problem, and it's fixable in a way a worksheet never addresses.
I don't lecture through concepts; I put students in the position of figuring things out themselves, with me asking the right questions at the right moments rather than handing over the answer. A child who works out why something is true remembers it. A child who's just told a rule forgets it by the next test.
Lessons typically run 30-60 minutes, long enough to properly work through a concept and short enough to hold a young learner's focus without losing them halfway through. For younger children, I often keep to the shorter end; older students preparing for exams sometimes benefit from the full hour.
Lessons are built around the individual, not a fixed syllabus I run every student through. A curious 8-year-old who loves patterns gets a very different lesson from a 13-year-old under pressure before an exam; same underlying maths, completely different approach to get them there.
Additionally, I keep it light. Maths taught with tension in the room teaches a child to fear maths as much as to do it. My lessons are conversational and often genuinely fun, because a relaxed student takes in more in 30 minutes than an anxious one does in 90.
Your first lesson is free; we'll use it to figure out exactly where your child is strong and where they need support, so every lesson after that is targeted, not guesswork.
If your child has been told they're "just not a maths person," I'd like the chance to show them otherwise.

Uduak is a talented young woman whom I met in a professional virtual training I attended.
After she told me about her mathematics classes, I decided to link her up with my nephew who was struggling with the subject. He became very proficient in just 2 months of learning with Uduak.
Her methods are effective as the young ones can adapt within a short period.
I recommend Uduak to anyone who needs her professional coaching.
She teaches so well with clarity and understanding.I met Uduak while we were both working at MySource Digital Marketing. We were part of the Digital Marketing team, and our collaboration helped the brand grow.
Honestly, one of the things I picked up most from her was how to write content that actually sounds human. She was so good and very smart, and you could hardly detect robotic content in her writing. She was also really generous with recommending content tools. The best part was that she didn't just throw names at me, she would actually explain why a particular tool made sense for what I was working on at the time.
What I appreciated most was that she didn't just teach in theory. I remember when we were in the trenches together, remotely working on actual projects, so I got to see her apply what she taught in real situations. That made everything stick much better than if it had just been advice on the side.
Personally this is my experience working with her, and I will recommend her anytime and any day. She is a great person.View more recommendations
