I have three main distinctions in tutoring that makes be better than most other tutors out there:
.I have found that the greatest challenge in those who struggle with Mathematics is lack of motivation. One way that I tackle this is by starting on easier questions and working up to the harder ones, allowing my students to feel confident in there abilities without the fear of failure.
.It is important to me to always stay positive and always see hope, which is why I strive to never give up on a student or peer. I understand that different people think in different ways and I can adapt to this by teaching differently.
.My understanding of maths is vastly superior to most tutors out there. It is one of my main passions and I understand in great detail A-level and higher mathematics, allowing me to share my knowledge with my students.
I have spent a lot of time tutoring my little brother in GCSE level sciences and he has find great success, even gaining his head teachers award at Crompton House for progress. I have also helped peers at my school/college obtain a greater understanding of Maths allowing them to progress further and aim towards the higher grades they never thought they could achieve.
