I split my classes into three sections. To begin with, there will be a basic starter. This will allow me to gain a rough idea of where the student is at with the specific topic. Then there will be the main part of the lesson which will mainly be going through questions to practice the skills, increasing difficulty to gain a stronger understanding. Then the final part of the lesson will be similar to the starter, a few questions that test the understanding of the student after the lesson, so that I can see what still needs to be worked on.
I have previous experience giving maths lessons after tutoring for two years. I have now moved onto my degree which specialises in maths, so have a solid background in this field! I tutor any age up to A-Level and just ask that you let me know a rough topic of study just before the lesson, so I can prepare material.
