As a molecular biologist, I enjoy continuously developing my understanding of my field, and learning about new techniques. Throughout my education and career I have found that good teaching makes all the difference in making this process successful and enjoyable. I am passionate about making science accessible, and helping students to develop conceptual understanding and discover their potential.

I use clear explanations and interactive diagrams to make complex ideas simple and understandable - as has been essential in my own scientific career. I tailor my teaching to how each student learns best, focusing on building confidence and conceptual understanding, avoiding the trap of rote learning which so often leads to memory blanks under pressure. My goal is always to keep sessions engaging, productive, and focused on finding and addressing the student's challenge areas.
