About Chloe
Hi! I’m Chloe, a third-year Cognitive Science of Language student at McMaster University. I enjoy working with students and helping them feel more confident in their learning, especially in reading and writing-based subjects.
I have experience in front-facing support and leadership roles where communication, patience, and organization were essential. I’m someone who takes time to understand how others learn best and adapts my explanations accordingly.
I aim to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace. I’m especially passionate about helping students build strong foundations in English and communication skills that they can carry forward in school and beyond.

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students understand concepts clearly and build independent learning skills. I use step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and active questioning to make sure students are not just completing work, but actually understanding it.
A typical lesson starts by identifying problem areas or assignments, followed by targeted practice with support and feedback. We then finish with a short recap of key strategies the student can use on their own.
I adjust my teaching style based on how each student learns best, whether that means simplifying ideas, using examples, or breaking tasks into smaller steps. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
