About Peter
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 2019. Have been working as a mechanical engineer for a large automotive company in the Metro Detroit area. I grew up in China and came to the U.S. as a high school exchange student. I have a lot of experience in teaching science-related subjects especially math and physics. And as a native Chinese speaker, I also offer Chinese language lessons.

I have learned to summarize the key contents and to be efficient in my study while in high school and college. I often see students spending hours upon hours studying and the result (i.e. exam scores) never turned out to be what they expected. Studying smarter is far better than studying longer. I prefer 1 on 1 teaching session where I get to truly understand what my students are confused about, then pinpoint their weaknesses and aim to untie the knot. It's extremely important for students to exercise right after learning the material, which helps them retain the knowledge better. Therefore, I incorporate practice exercises throughout my teaching session, which I find more efficient than having the practices at the end.
