I teach by building on the students current knowledge step-by-step until they have reached the required level.
I teach by working through the content alongside problems, solved either by me or by the student (the ratio of which shifts from the former towards the latter as the student grows in understanding) with an emphasis in "thinking out loud" / highlighting thought processes.
I firmly believe in the principle of 'practice makes perfect' and I require a certain level of motivation from the student.
