About Rishi
Currently a Mechanical Engineering student going into my second year with a lot of experience in with AQA and Edexcel A-level Maths. My relevant qualifications are:
- a high 1st in both university Maths modules (Engineering Analysis 1B and 2B)
- A in AQA A-level Maths with Statistics, Mechanics and Decision modules included
- A* in Edexcel GCSE Maths
My teaching experience includes teaching P.E and extracurricular reading classes. I have also been doing 1 on 1 sessions with my friend to help him pass his Maths module resit for Electrical Engineering for Portsmouth University (to which he received 72% across the 3 examinations). My experience is limited but I have had great tutors in the past to base my lessons from for an effective method of teaching.
Overall, I love Maths and have a passion to teach it!

I would ask if there were any preferences such as if they wanted the tutoring sessions as a course or topic by topic basis. Once we've established what where doing, I would ask if they have any specific problems or pieces of (home)work they are having trouble with. To get the most out of the lesson I would ask if they sent this to me beforehand so I can structure the lesson properly. I would then proceed to go through the problems but I would take the topic the question is about and explain the topic through answering the question. This efficiently covers the topic while also still maintaining a good understanding. This would usually cover the lesson but practice questions can be provided. My method is at its best when students can communicate what they want to learn and when they want a lesson.
