About Amelia
I am a media student, preparing to study at degree level, whilst no formal experience tutoring, I took liberty of teaching my A-Level class over a short period with no teacher available and to quote a peer, made the work 'easier to understand and actually fun' and find I'm more than competent at teaching and adapting to different student's needs.

I like to approach teaching with the attitude of the student coming first, having been through tutoring in the past, I found the best method for me to understand was when a tutor would ask me what I wanted to cover, and rather than enforce structured learning plans, would instead allow me to select what I wanted to do, and work at my own pace, creating an environment between a teacher and student that allows for it to feel okay to be good at some elements and bad at others. I rely on teaching by making it interesting, if you don't understand it one way, stop trying too and we'll approach it completely differently until it clicks. Everyone learns at their own pace and takes things on board differently, so no two students should ever be taught exactly the same.
