About Acacia
Hi! My name is Acacia Laliotis. I received a B.A. in Media Communication & Public Relations and an M.A. in Mass Communication & Media Studies. I have always wanted to be an educator. My passion for mentoring and leading led me to become a Teaching Assistant during my master's program, which led me to being a professor. I have 5 years of overall instruction experience.
Currently, I instruct five sections of a digital literacy course, one section of a social media management course, and two public speaking courses across three universities.
I am happy to assist with any subjects involving social media, communication, public relations, media studies, and public speaking.

I don’t just teach what I know. I teach what I’m still learning.
Being a lifelong learner has shaped every part of my career journey and naturally evolved into becoming an educator. I believe in creating learning environments and courses where curiosity and authenticity drive connection and community.
I focus on educating early professionals about public speaking, communication, and critical thinking in an era of digital literacy. Whether students are developing confidence as speakers, learning to communicate effectively with an audience, or navigating an increasingly digital world, my goal is to help them become thoughtful and intentional communicators. In the classroom and in my professional work, I aim to help others move beyond traditional selling and toward meaningful storytelling. With a background in public speaking, marketing, instructional design, social media management, media communication, and higher education, I strive to guide the next generation of communicators and media professionals to speak with confidence, think critically, stay curious, and lead with intention in a constantly changing digital landscape.
