Lessons will be reactive and bespoke based on what the student wants. I aim to identify gaps in their knowledge and build on existing knowledge through formative assessment, identifying areas of weakness and we will then work on strategies to improve their knowledge.
My lessons are a blend of learning narrative, short, medium, and long term recall and application challenges, and covers sample exam questions - students will be walked through an exam question and useful strategies highlighted, as well as potential pitfalls. The students will then attempt an exam question and we will analyse afterwards how they performed.
This is only an example of what I can do, as stated above lessons will be tailored to students' own needs.
Hello! I am a first year graduate medical student with a strong background in science and am passionate about helping others achieve top grades in their exams. I hold a HNC in Applied Sciences (UHI, 2013), an Honours Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science (Edinburgh, 2017), and most recently qualified as a teacher in 2020.
Throughout this time I have tutored at both GCSE and A-level and students have typically improved their grades and obtained the results they needed to go to university.
I am happy to have one-to-one or group sessions.
Outside of a 10km radius will be possible but may incur extra costs.
