About Stephanie May
I'm a recent medical school graduate and soon-to-be NHS doctor. In medical school, I have achieved a series of Distinctions and Merit awards for academic excellence and also also served as an academic tutor in the medical school's mentoring society. I sat the International Baccalaureate examinations with Higher Level Biology, Chemistry and Literature and achieved a perfect score overall. I also have experience with teaching IB students HL Biology, and intend to hone on this experience to help juniors striving for similar goals.

Drawing on my experience as a student in the IB programme and medical school (as well as my experience teaching IB students and tutoring junior medical students later on), I'd like to share my own trialled and tested techniques for tackling large volumes of content and recalling them successfully afterwards. I aim to help students avoid rote learning by helping them develop a firm foundation of basic physiology.
Ultimately, I aim to deliver individualised teaching plans to every one of my students. We'll discuss what your strengths and weaknesses are, your particular syllabus, and focus on constant improvement in not just grades but confidence too. One of my strengths lie in breaking down complex subjects into easy concepts and first principles, which will be the foundation of all our lessons. Beyond Biology, I'm more than happy to discuss personal statements and university admissions into Medicine, as well how to boost your portfolio.
