About Sophie
I am a first year Medicine student at the University of Cambridge. I achieved A*s at A level in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and an EPQ. In the UCAT, I achieved a score of 3370 (translating to 2570 in its new score system) and Band 1 situational judgement. I received offers from Cambridge, UCL, Edinburgh and Bristol for Medicine. Medicine allows both people and science to be combined into one profession, hence it feels like a brilliant career fit for me. For my Oxbridge preparation, one of the subjects I researched in depth were viruses, with virology being a continued interest of mine.

Most lessons are 1 hour, but I can also offer longer or shorter sessions depending on your needs and goals. For my A levels, I spent a lot of time using different methods of teaching content to myself. I genuinely believe that different methods used depend entirely on both the content being learnt and a student’s preferred methods of learning, hence adapting a lesson to be fully personalised to a student is really important to me! I tutor GCSE and A-level students in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. I also support students applying for Medicine, including guidance with personal statements, admissions tests (BMAT/UCAT), and interview preparation.
