About Nina
Hi! I'm currently a medical student studying at the University of Nottingham, with over 5 years of tutoring experience and more than 700 hours of teaching, I’ve had the privilege of helping students aged 10 to 30+ reach their academic goals. During my tutoring experience I have been able to refine my methods in order to be specific to the individual being taught. My teaching method consists of understanding the basics and building on top of pre-existing knowledge. Almost like a pyramid, ensuring the foundations are embedded well before new information otherwise gaps resulting in a lack of knowledge. I have the ability to build that student-teacher relationship and tackle any barriers I may come across. The enthusiasm and motivation will be transcribed to my students, as will my excellent teaching methods will aim to produce the best outcome.
During the introduction, I meet the student and their guardian so that we can get to know each other. I learn about their needs and aims, and we start planning the lessons.
The plan typically consists of weekly or fortnightly lessons depending on the content the student needs to cover; some students need to focus only on specific topics, while others need support throughout the year.
