About Salma
Hello my fellow students!
My name is Salma and I am a second year medical student aspiring to complete my degree in order to become a neurosurgeon. I understand first hand how daunting studying can be for students at times. Feeling like some topics are impossible to understand despite your efforts. I also have experienced these feelings throughout my journey.
I understand how important tutoring lessons can be as I myself received tutoring sessions to help me get through the difficult times. I found my tutoring experience incredible and so helpful and this is why I am so passionate to help other students during their journey. I realised how important it is to have a good teacher who can explain everything at the pace you need, as well as helping clear up any confusion.
I work by tailoring the tutoring sessions to fit the needs of the student as each student is different and requires a different method. I focus on their weak point and allow them to progress and learn during every lesson. Communication between I and the student are key to an effective tutoring session as all my students would feel comfortable and ready to learn!
I focus on many different subjects such as GCSE biology, chemistry, psychology and RE. I also focus on helping A LEVEL biology students.
Learning is an amazing process despite being difficult at times. With me as your tutor, my complete aim will be to help you feel completely comfortable and ready to learn more by ensuring my method of teaching is perfectly tailed for you.

As a student myself, I am aware of the daunting and overwhelming feeling studying can bring. However, with my technique of teaching, I am able to allow the student to feel more confident after each lesson as I focus on progression and efficiency. I focus on students weak points by clearly going through difficult parts using step by step explanations to prevent any feeling of confusion.
I usually start my lessons off by allowing the student to explain any difficulties they have recently had and I try to clear up any confusion they have. I then focus on progressing through topics and allowing the student to learn more throughout the lesson often stopping to allow the student to clearly understand the information and to ask any questions.
I find one to two hour lessons to be the most productive as it gives both I and the student enough time to clearly go through each topic concisely as well as answering any questions the student may have throughout the lesson.
I focus on the medical aspects of science as I am a second year medical student. I studied chemistry, biology and psychology all at college receiving AAA. I currently tutor GCSE students in biology and chemistry as well as psychology and RE as they are my strongest subjects where I can provide the student with vast amounts of knowledge. I also tutor college students in biology.
Therefore I am able to provide amazing tutoring experiences for GCSE students studying either biology, chemistry, psychology or RE as well as college students studying biology.
