About Isabel
I completed a Sport and Exercise Science undergraduate degree which heavily focused on human physiology to understand the internal processes that can impact health and exercise performance. Similarly, we studied the effects of exercise on health which covered various pathologies such as COPD, Coronary Artery Disease, mental health conditions and more.
Having worked within sport and healthcare professionally and expanding my clinical knowledge as a result, I am now a Medical Student where I am learning about human physiology and pathophysiology to a deeper and more complex level.
A favourite part of my professional career was teaching patients more about their test results, potential health conditions and the outcomes of this. I particularly enjoyed engaging with patients about the in depth science of this and would love to be able to help students in a similar way. I have also struggled with certain subjects in the past and I can appreciate how much of a difference teaching can make to an individual's understanding.

Sessions would usually last between 1-2 hours depending on difficulty/volume of content and personal preference. Lessons are aimed for 16-18 year olds studying at GCSE/A-Level standard. I have previously worked with a student from GCSE's all the way through to her A-Levels so I am also able to help with the transition to more complex content.
