About Katya
Hi! My name is Katya.
I`m currently a third-year medical student. I have always really enjoyed tutoring and am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.
Throughout my academic journey, I have tried and tested many studying and revision techniques and dedicated time to researching what methods have been proven to yield the best results. As a student myself I understand the demands of exams and am committed to helping my students manage their work and achieve their goals.

The general lesson structure that I have found most effective includes:
○a discussion surrounding the student`s current knowledge
○laying out a summary of the content we intend to cover within the session
○practice questions or past papers to assess how the student is able to apply their knowledge of the content
○reviewing their answers and identifying the areas in which we need to spend more time on
Every student`s learning style is unique, therefore I make sure to adjust the lesson structure according to each student's preferences to ensure that each individual can get the most out of every session.
I have worked as a tutor for 2 years, teaching Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Physics to students of all ages - from year 3 through A level.

Perfect! Katya got the pitch of the lesson just right with my son. She had taken on all the information provided by school about gaps in knowledge. She was patient and encouraging and corrected errors sensitively by offering improvements rather than any criticism. Katya has a lovely gentle way about her. My son is now happy to have more lessons booked, which is a great endorsement as he really wasn't sure beforehand!
