About Isabel
Hi! I am a Medicine student who believes that the best way to learn is to have a teacher who gets excited about their subject and shares that joy! I achieved 9 A*s at GCSE, and A*AA At A level, and then graduated from Durham in 2019 with a 2:1 (Hons) Psychology degree, and have gone on to deepen my love of the human body by studying Medicine. Teachers who still felt amazed by the human body and the natural world inspired me at school and at university, and I would love to share that enthusiasm with students of any age.

I will discuss learning styles and areas to work on in the first meeting, but I believe the best way to learn is often to just have a go and get stuck in! I will create lesson plans based around past papers, that encourage students to engage with the material and with me, to make sure they understand the concepts, rather than being “lectured”. Research shows that questions and spaces repetition are extremely effective learning techniques, so I will seek to integrate practice questions early on, and go back over past topics to strengthen their understanding.
