About Sunlight
Kiran, a coach at Sunlight Smashers Badminton Academy is a highly respected and accomplished Badminton Coach based in the western suburbs of Melbourne, VIC, with a proven track record of coaching both children and adults since 2022. As a Badminton Australia (BA) and Badminton World Federation (BWF) Level-1 certified coach, Kiran brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the sport. Currently, Kiran is dedicated to nurturing young talent, providing expert coaching to under-18 children and adults at Egale Stadium in Werribee and ACM Sports in Point Cook. Specializing in empowering women and children, Kiran is particularly skilled at helping athletes develop their technical abilities, refine their skills, and elevate their performance on the court. To support the individual growth of our students, we've tailored Badminton Coaching Programs that cater to various skill levels. Each program is thoughtfully designed to progressively build your skills, enhancing both the technical and mental aspects of the game.
Our Coaching Programs:
BCP01 – Novice: This program is designed specifically for beginners who are new to badminton or looking to improve their basic skills. Whether you’re looking to get fit, learn the basics of Badminton or just have fun, this program will provide you with the fundamentals to build confidence on the court.
BCP02 – Early Intermediate: The Basic Badminton Coaching Program is designed for players who have some basic knowledge of badminton but are looking to improve their fundamental skills, gain more consistency and start developing an understanding of strategy. This level typically covers players who have already played a bit of badminton and helps to transit from novice.
BCP03 – Intermediate: The Intermediate Badminton Coaching Program is designed for players who have mastered the basics of the game and are looking to further develop their technical, tactical, and physical skills. Players at this level typically have a solid understanding of the basic shots, court movements, and rules. The goal of this program is to refine existing skills, introduce more advanced techniques, and build a strategic understanding of the game.
BCP04 – Advanced: The Advanced Badminton Coaching Program is designed for players who have mastered the fundamental and intermediate aspects of the game and are now focusing on refining their skills to compete at a high level.
Players at this stage are typically preparing for competitive play, including local or national tournaments, and they require specialized training to elevate their game. This program is about optimizing technique, strategy, and physical conditioning to compete at elite levels.
