Mental Health and Well-Being Coach offering extra support, guidance, and coping mechanisms in order to be your best.

Methodology

My overall method is to ensure the appropriate delivery of lessons, the planning and engagement of the lessons, giving and receiving feedback from the students and always try and support the students with their work. So If there are goals you want to meet, deadlines due, life challenges that need to be changed for the better, then contact me and we can do something about it.
What I do is programming and delivering mental health and well-being lessons/interventions in a variety of workplaces either in schools or in the community in the Wirral area. The lessons and sessions could be one to one or group depending on what support, guidance and coping mechanisms is needed to motivate them, thus improving their health and well-being.

Experience

My name is Sam Padmore and over the years I have gained skills and abilities I have obtained from studying a combined BA honours degree in Special Educational Needs with Physical Education at Liverpool Hope University, and a master's degree in Psychology (Conversion) at University of Chester. Also, to use other skills and abilities I have learnt from coaching, tutoring and teaching roles within community and educational settings.

I am a caring, responsible and confident person who prides themselves on helping people with their fitness, mental health and well being. I enjoy every aspect of coaching, teaching and tutoring people with any sort of issue(s) they may be facing, and, in the past, I have created and led various programs for children and adults that incorporate physical activity and mental health and well-being.

Working Experience:

2013-2015: Rock Ferry Primary School.
Working for Rock Ferry Primary School entailed me to work on an apprenticeship scheme working as a T.A. and sports coach. To be successful in this job I had to carry out every day primary school tasks such as: teaching, coaching, assisting, co-coordinating, auditing, managing children, organizing events, mentoring and holding clubs before/after school.

2013-2016: Bebington High Sport College.
Working for Bebington High Sports College entailed me working with children from the ages 11-18 and working as a community sports assistant of an evening. To be successful in this job I needed to: teach, coach, assist, audit, tidy, lock-up, give gym inductions and do whatever tasks I had been asked to do by the line manager.

2017-2018: Stepping Stones Montessori Nursery.
Working for Stepping Stones entailed to work as an Out of school club leader. The role enabled me to work in a familiar environment but with the management label with it. To be successful in this job I had to ensure that the before and after school club ran smoothly, so that staff, children and parents all knew what was happening during club hours.

2018-2019: Quality Protects Children.
Working at QPC enabled me to work as a tutor and practitioner in the field of personal, social, health and physical education. To be successful in this job I had to work with children/teens ranging from 11-16 in a residential setting tutoring them. Also, working either in a pair or 1:1 ensuring the children/teens learnt in the subject, had fun and was in a safe environment. I mainly worked two days a work as a bank member of staff.

2016-2020: Full Of Beans Sports Coaching and Children’s Fitness
Working for Full of Beans entailed me to work as a self-employed coach. To be successful in this job I have had to be able to coach a variety of sports over Merseyside. Recently for the company I have tailored my work toward Mental Health, physical health and sport running programmes such as ‘Iceberg Programme’ and ‘Young Titons’ Which are solely based around MH, PH and sport. Whilst working for this company I always need to be well motivated, organized, able to coach at a high level, confident and have superb excellent time management.

2019-2020: Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
Working for MFRS has allowed me to work as a Street Intervention Worker within Knowsley community in Merseyside. When working within the SIT, I am deployed to an area that may have high volumes of criminal activity, anti-social behaviors, nuisances, stolen scramblers, and possible fires. Being successful within this job I attempt to diffuse the situation if safe enough or/and advice to young people, offenders and other members of the community/public.
