About Leanne
Degrees from Georgetown provide the theoretical framework, but my actual experience teaching 82 students informs how I teach piano. Music is rarely about reading notes on a page and always about the physical coordination of posture and hand position. I guide pupils through ABRSM exam preparation, sight transposition, and classical repertoire with a focus on rhythm. You will find that my approach relies on logical memorization techniques rather than mere repetition, ensuring your playing remains grounded in a 13-year history of musical pedagogy.

"Soft keys press under your fingers as we begin to map out the physical nuances of your current repertoire. A diagnostic playing assessment happens before we set a learning plan to ensure we target your specific pedaling technique and accompaniment skills correctly. Since I hold a degree in voice, I emphasize the melodic phrasing and timing found in both pop and contemporary styles.
