About Mica
Hi, I’m Mica from South Africa. I’m a qualified somatologist, TEFL-certified English tutor and experienced educator with over 10 years of experience in training and education. I previously owned and managed an internationally accredited Health & Beauty Academy, where I trained and assessed students and lectured in subjects including business, spa management, anatomy and physiology.
My experience as a business owner has also given me a strong understanding of professional communication and the English used in the workplace. I’m passionate about helping people learn, grow and feel confident in their abilities. I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I believe learning should be enjoyable as well as practical.

My lessons are relaxed, friendly and personalised to your goals. I use conversation and practical activities to build confidence, while working on reading, vocabulary and grammar. I teach in English and can support Afrikaans-speaking learners when needed. I teach beginner to intermediate students and can also help with English for work and professional communication, drawing on my own business experience. Each lesson is adapted to your pace, interests and needs, creating a comfortable environment where you can speak, ask questions and learn without feeling nervous about making mistakes.
