About Amelia
I have a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Public and Political rhetoric from Georgia State University. I also studied abroad in Oxford, England, and I have a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science with a focus in Research and Instruction. I have been published multiple times in various academic publications. I have taught preschool, third grade, middle school, and at the college level.

My tutoring and teaching methods are strongly geared to the needs of the individual student. I also emphasize the importance of repetition. I prefer to create lessons and reviews that incorporate game aspects. I also encourage critical thinking and creativity.
What I feel sets me apart as a tutor is my diverse experience with multiple classroom settings and educational positions over the years. I am also very savvy when it comes to online or virtual tutoring, as I co-taught an online class at a college when I was still a Reference and Instructional Librarian.
I have taught almost every age of children, from preschool to college.
I am comfortable teaching most any grade level. I would like to understand the student's needs and expectations as well. As far as the subject area is concerned, I have multiple degrees and am a good fit for reading, information literacy, essay writing, research, etc., teaching
