About Dawson
I am an undergraduate student attending the University of Lethbridge. Entering final year of Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in French and Spanish. Has been fluent in Spanish since 2014 after living amongst native speakers in Mexico for two years. Continued language improvement throughout university studies. Worked as a Spanish tutor for local tutoring company, teaching other university students and others desiring to learn the language. Tutored and taught entry level university Spanish course under supervision of university professor. Plans to graduate with undergraduate degree and then pursue education further to become a Spanish teacher.

My teaching methods include a variety of learning strategies. Using written examples in sentences to explain words meanings and grammar concepts. Doing reading, writing and speaking activities and exercises. Occasional games to reinforce vocabulary and other language elements. Also encouraging speaking as much as possible to get comfortable with the language (even if it’s hard at first). I like to ask students a lot of questions too in order to get a good idea of what exactly they don’t know and/or understand. These classes could be for anyone at any age, but primarily focus on those studying the language whether in high school or university, beginner or advanced.
