Hello everyone! My name is Sakurako, and I'm a Japanese language instructor. I'm currently a mother of two, and I also work as an instructor, sharing my love for Japanese language and culture with people all over the world. I myself have studied abroad in Connecticut, USA, and have experienced both the joy of learning a foreign language and the frustration of not being able to speak it as I wanted. That's why I deeply empathize with the anxieties that adult learners have and the difficulties of balancing work and life, and I can gently support each individual at their own pace. My lessons value "living Japanese" that isn't bound by textbooks and "culture that stimulates the intellectual curiosity of adults." About me & strengths of my lessons I have a cooking qualification! I love Japanese home cooking, Japanese food culture, and ideas for making bento boxes. In my lessons, I can talk about Japanese food culture, how to read recipes, and useful expressions that can be used in restaurants and izakayas in a fun way. My hobby is "travel"! I love visiting various places not only in Japan but also overseas. Please tell me all about your recommended spots and delicious food in your country in Japanese! We also welcome practice sessions on Japanese situations that you can use while traveling! English support is also available, so even beginners who feel nervous speaking only in Japanese can rest assured. We will explain grammar and nuances in English as needed. With the "ability to listen carefully" and "ability to encourage others in a positive way" that I have cultivated through raising two children, I will provide a warm and relaxing time for everyone, just like chatting in a cafe.
