About Oilivia
As a Piano tutor with over 12 years of experience, I have had the privilege of teaching students from various age groups and backgrounds. From young school students to college learners and busy working professionals, I help each student build strong musical skills through patient and personalized instruction.
My teaching approach combines technical development with creativity and enjoyment. I believe that learning Piano should be a positive and inspiring experience. By understanding each student's goals and learning style, I create lessons that are both effective and engaging.
Students learn piano fundamentals, scales, chords, rhythm patterns, music theory, sight reading, ear training, and performance techniques. I also help students build confidence and stage presence through regular practice and performance preparation.
Beyond Piano, I teach music theory, keyboard fundamentals, and listening skills that support overall musical growth. My lessons encourage curiosity, discipline, and creativity while maintaining a strong focus on practical improvement.
I am committed to helping students unlock their musical potential and develop skills that will stay with them throughout their lives. Through supportive guidance and consistent encouragement, I strive to make every lesson productive, enjoyable, and meaningful.

My teaching methodology is based on communication, creativity, flexibility, and patient guidance. I believe learning piano should be enjoyable and stress-free while helping students build confidence and strong musical skills. Every student learns differently, so I create personalized lesson plans based on their age, experience, learning pace, and goals.
The first stage of learning focuses on posture, hand position, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. These basics create a strong foundation for future learning. As students improve, I gradually introduce scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, and expressive playing.
I encourage students to understand music rather than simply memorizing songs. Every lesson includes demonstrations, practical exercises, and discussions that help students connect theory with real performance. Regular revision and constructive feedback ensure continuous improvement.
To keep lessons enjoyable, students learn songs from different genres such as classical, pop, devotional, movie themes, and contemporary music. I also include simple improvisation and accompaniment exercises to develop creativity and confidence.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard skills, music theory, rhythm training, ear training, sight reading, music appreciation, and performance preparation. These additional subjects help students become complete musicians.
My goal is to create a friendly and motivating learning environment where students enjoy every lesson, improve steadily, and develop a lifelong love for music.
