About Tanya
I’m a Clinical Sciences graduate from the University of Leicester, and I’m about to begin a master’s in Applied Statistical Modelling and Health Informatics at King’s College London. My strong academic foundation in maths and data, alongside a clear, patient teaching style, allows me to explain even tricky topics in ways that make sense. I studied Maths at both GCSE (achieved grade 8) and A-Level (achieved grade A).

I take a question-based, supportive approach to tutoring, helping students build strong mathematical understanding through guided problem-solving. This helps identify exactly where they're struggling and boosts both confidence and accuracy over time. Each session is structured around real exam-style questions, past papers, and personalised practice tasks. I focus on exam technique, logical thinking, and efficient methods - key to scoring well under pressure. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student’s needs and concentration span. I often provide follow-up worksheets and am happy to review work between sessions if needed. I offer maths tutoring for GCSE and A-Level students, including those aiming for top grades, resitting exams, or needing extra support. My students are typically aged 13–18, but I also welcome adult learners.
