About Michaela
I am a psychology masters graduate who also holds a bachelor's degree in criminology (happy to teach that too if you need it!). I am primarily a health care professional, I work in a mental health hospital so I also have some life experience to add to my teaching.
Within psychology I specialise in personality, intelligence and psychopathology and brain and behaviour. I am also advanced in SPSS, statistics and research methods.
In Criminology I studied things from criminal psychology, sociology, to criminal law, medical law, sports law and human rights law.

I like to first understand students aims and needs from lessons and from there develop a plan. I like to tailor lessons to individual learning preferences (e.g. lots of diagrams and video clips for a visual learner!). I like to engage the student as much as possible rather than just talk at them, so quizzes and all of the debates been as we're psychology! I want the lesson to be an honest and open environment where the student feels happy to tell me they do not understand something/ask questions.
