Multi-media artist and K–12 Art Teacher | Drawing, Painting, 3D & Creative Art Lessons

Mrs. Hawks was my art teacher senior year and we were very grateful for her because the year before we had a virtual teacher that was terrible. I appreciated how many different and new art techniques she taught us. For example we did portraits of artists by using lyrics of their songs to learn positive and negative space. While she was my teacher she continuously pushed us to think outside the box and to be creative.

Ms Hawkes was one of my favorite teachers from highschool!!! You could tell she cared a great deal about art and she was always sure to maintain a fun and comfortable environment for everyone in her class!

She always pushed me to develop my skills and is one of the reasons I felt confident enough to apply to art school! Even now as I finish my degree I miss her class! Definitely recommend her, 100%!

Without a doubt my favorite art teacher from highschool. Every lesson and project was unique and fun, it was clear that Ms. Hawkes was passionate about art and teaching students something new. Her classroom always felt like a safe space. 4 years later I still remember the skills I was taught in her class and the projects done! 10/10.
